Looking in to Afghanistan

Most People are so caught up with the Iraq war these days that most people overlook that The US has a fair amount of troops stationed in Afghanistan fighting the Taliban and trying to hunt down Al Qaida and Bin Laden. Now Obama is shedding more light on the Afghanistan affairs and is focusing less on the Iraq War. Is this the right move? Well I believe we did a fair job in helping Iraq establish itself better than when ruled by Saddam. I believe, though, that going to Iraq before finishing the job in Afghanistan was a big and fatal mistake. We nearly had Bin Laden and the Taliban. Our forces were closing in and, according to a show on the history channel, they interviewed a soldier who nearly had him in his sights. But our Government hesitated due to the Iraq issue and speculation of weapons of mass destruction and thus they got away. We never did find WMD, but at least we made Iraq a more established and a safer country. Now with most of that war behind us it's time to focus on the main task at hand; catching a man and his men who we almost certainly know were behind the 9/11 attack. So I think that finishing what we started in afghan is the right thing to do, it's just that we've should have done in sooner.

Store Owner save his life and his wife!

A jewelry store was targetted in a robbery attempt on Thursday. Two men, pretending to be customers, were in the store when a third man came in and announced a robbery attempt. All three pulled out handguns and took the wife of the store owner to the back and tied her up. Ramon, the storeowner, pulled out a handgun and killed one of them. Discarding it for a shotgun, he continued to fire away until all three were killed and his wife and store safe. Ramon was shot three times throughout the gunfight.

Well to start, for three men to charge into a store with guns, and lose to a 52 year old clerk is almost pathetic. Make sure you have all the employee's under watch before you continue anything else! They are the people who will project the store. The shopkeeper is a hero, and deserves so much credit for fending them all off and ensuring the safety of his wife and store. It is always such a pleasure to hear of these stories versus hearing, "Three gunmen shoot store clerk and wife, and rob the jewelry store." Bravo to you Ramon, bravo.
